According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year in the United States, at least 2 million people become infected with bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics and at least 23,000 people die each year as a direct result of these infections. A growing list of infections are becoming harder to treat as antibiotics become less effective. APIC has created two versions of the ABCs of Antibiotics flier: one for consumers and one for healthcare professionals.
We encourage you to download and print these free fliers and share them with your healthcare facilities.
